VMWare image of ReactOS comes in about 63MB uncompressed, considerably smaller than any MS Windows distribution. Boot time was fairly quick under VMPlayer. ReactOS is a Microsoft WindowsNT compatible OS and it’s FREE. The layout has the familiarity of Windows with the “Start” button and taskbar. Reactos Windows 10 For Windows 7 its necessary to manually download and Install Internet Explorer 11. You can download Internet Explorer based on your Windows 7 version from Microsoft’s official website. Once downloaded install the exe file and you are good to go. Legally, the EULA for Internet Explorer says you can't install it on non-Windows machines. I don't know how compatibility is with IE, but due to illegal nature of running IE on ReactOS, whether Firefox or Opera is currently running is probably more important than if IE is.

Open Internet Explorer icon and go to Java.com.

Select Install > Close.

Today, Microsoft discontinued support for older versions of IE. Starting with React v15, we’re discontinuing React DOM’s support for IE 8. We’ve heard that most React DOM apps already don’t support old versions of Internet Explorer, so this shouldn’t affect many people. This change will help us develop faster and make React DOM even better. (We won’t actively remove IE 8–related code quite yet, but we will deprioritize new bugs that are reported. If you need to support IE 8 we recommend you stay on React v0.14.)
React DOM will continue to support IE 9 and above for the foreseeable future.
